A couple weeks ago I got on stage and played a couple songs with my fellow podcasters at the Nashville Rock N Pod Expo at the Nashville Palace. (Photos courtesy of MDG Rock Photography.)
The 2018 Indy KISS Expo took place on May 11-12, 2018 and originally, I’d decided not to go even though Ace Frehley was the big guest announcement. There were tons of other guests announced as well, including Frehley’s Comet members Tod Howarth and John Regan. It wasn’t until they announced that Anton Fig was there that I decided to go. Who ever gets a chance to see Anton in person? HA!
I’ll be honest, I only bought the used vinyl record above last year at the first Rock N Pod Expo in Nashville because Tod & John had both signed it. I never imagined that less than a year later, I’d also end up with Ace’s and Anton’s signature on the only piece of vinyl I own. I guess I owe a shout out to “Chris” (look at the upper left corner of the album cover) for getting rid of this album.
To top off the whole weekend, I got to see (and record video of) the Frehley’s Comet album lineup performing. I really wish the four of them had been given a chance to rehearse prior to showtime but regardless, I got to witness FC history.
All in all, it’s been an excellent couple of weeks for this KISS fan.
Well folks, 2017 has been sort of a crazy year for me. I wanted to put out at least one song this year but life, as always, had other plans. On a positive note, I did pull two of my songs out of the archives and started collaborating with others to finish them. I also managed to lay down an acoustic guitar track for another original. Some progress is better than no progress. Stay tuned.
